Product Description
It is used to measure the acid and alkali penetration performance of breathable and non-breathable acid and alkali protective clothing, which is expressed by the acid penetration time t.
Test Procedure:
1. Mount fabric sample between test cells (exposure vs. collection chambers).
2. Fill exposure chamber with test acid/alkali.
3. Apply constant pressure (e.g., 4.9 kPa for ISO 6529).
4. Continuously monitor collection chamber for:
Liquid presence (conductivity/pH change)
Visual permeation (for non-instrumented methods)
5. Record breakthrough time when penetration occurs.
