Product Description
Designed for plastic sheets, films, glasses, LCD panel, touch screen and other transparent and semi-transparent materials haze and transmittance measurement. Our haze meter does not need warm-up during test which saves customer's time. Instrument conforms to ISO, ASTM, JIS, DIN and other international standards to meet all customers’ measurement requirement.
Design & Principle
The haze meter operates based on the principle of integrating sphere spectrophotometry. Light from a stable source (meeting CIE spectral characteristics) passes through the sample. The transmitted light (both parallel and scattered) is collected by an integrating sphere (internal diameter often ≥150mm) and measured by detectors. Values for total transmittance, diffuse transmittance, and ultimately haze are calculated precisely as defined in ISO 14782.
Applications
- This instrument is widely used for quality control and R&D in various industries:
- Plastics & Polymer Manufacturing: Testing films, sheets, bottles, containers, and molded parts.
- Glass & Automotive Industry: Measuring safety glass, architectural glass, and optical lenses.
- Display & Touch Panel Production: Evaluating transparency of LCD panels, touch screens, and optical films.
- Packaging Industry: Ensuring clarity of flexible and rigid packaging materials.
- Paint & Coatings: Testing the clarity of coatings and varnishes.
